International conference on the Transition to Animal-Free Innovation (TPI) to be held on 27, 28 and 29 November
The international conference on the Transition to Animal-Free Innovation will be held in Utrecht at the end of November. During the conference, over 150 national and international delegates, including researchers, entrepreneurs, NGOs and policymakers, will be addressing the transition to innovation without the use of animals. The aim of the conference is to learn from each other and to accelerate this transition.
The programme will begin Wednesday evening, 27 November with an introduction to TPI. What is the Transition to Animal-Free Innovation? Where are we now and what do we aim to achieve?
On Thursday 28 and Friday 29 November, there will be a number of short pitches and the Willy van Heumen Prize will be awarded. This is awarded every two years to an individual or organisation that has played a key role in the Netherlands in reducing or replacing the use of animals for medical purposes. There will also be ample opportunity to meet with others and to discuss potential innovations. Anything that is discussed during the conference will be treated as confidential. Consequently, the proceedings will be videoed but there will be no audio recordings.
